KYOJIN Tops AMP Comics' Script2Comic Contest
AMP Comics' annual Script2Comic Contest has announced its 2025 winners, with the grand prize going to Kyojin — a World War II monster story from The Mul Brothers.
Kyojin follows a group of American and Japanese soldiers in 1942 who are forced into an uneasy alliance during the fight for the Solomon Islands, battling a monstrous race of subterranean giants called the Kyojin while confronting the psychological toll of war. AMP Comics will publish the series in the United States and develop it for film and television.
"Every year, we're amazed by the originality and ambition that comes through our submissions," said AMP CEO and Script2Comic founder Don Handfield. "The 2025 winners prove once again that bold voices and daring ideas are out there, waiting to reshape how audiences experience stories across comics, film, and television."
Now in its sixth year, the contest — sponsored this year by Attack on Titan publisher Kodansha — gives screenwriters the opportunity to see their work adapted into comic books or graphic novels, with winning projects also gaining potential exposure in Asia.
